The Full Story
About Me
My name is Ella DeJong.
I was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, into an artistically inclined family, where I was homeschooled by my mother alongside my siblings. From the time I could barely walk, my creativity knew no boundaries, and I am deeply grateful for that foundation. It allowed me the freedom to explore, observe, and create intuitively from a very young age.
I am now living in Alabama, working full-time as an artist and running my own upcycled, eco-friendly custom clothing brand. Creating—whether through paint, fabric, or form—is not something I chose so much as something I am. I believe we are all artists by nature, and that making art connects us to our spirit and to love, offering a creative freedom that is priceless.
I am endlessly inspired by the beauty of God’s creation—by the artistry present in every moment, filled with mystery, intention, and love. My work aims to capture an essence of that magic. I view art as a story of the soul, written in the language of vision and color. Paint, to me, is a form of energy manipulation—moving emotion, thought, beauty, and love through the mind’s eye, with the power to heal and unite.
I primarily work with acrylic paint for its versatility, though I also enjoy exploring watercolor, spray paint, illustration, and textile-based work. My artistic style shifts fluidly between impressionism, realism, and abstraction. With constant growth comes constant change—that is my style. Each piece flows from a new wave of inspiration, spiraling toward something unseen. I am still growing and developing with every piece, and I hope that never ends.
I painted my first mural in 2020 at the age of fifteen and have been in love with the medium ever since. I have now completed ten murals, with hopes that number continues to grow. Immovable once imprinted, a mural stands with the foundation until it falls—exuding power and magnifying the beauty already woven into the structure.
Some things cannot be fully expressed through words—whether because a thought feels indescribable or because we fear it may not be perceived as it exists in our mind. Art simply is. It transcends language and connects universally. No matter who you are, or how differently we experience life, art remains a bridge.
I believe life itself is art created by the Creator. With each passing day, new memories form, perception shifts, and opportunities to see the light arise. As we grow, so does our way of creating—and through that, our ability to connect, heal, and unify.

Mission
My mission as an artist is to bring bold beauty and color into the world, helping people feel confident in themselves and express their ideas authentically. I do this both by creating my own work and by helping bring other people’s visions to life—whether through murals, paintings, or custom pieces.
I believe artistry is one of the things that keeps the magic alive on earth. God is the ultimate Creator, and I believe our love for creativity and beauty exists because it is woven into our souls. Creating allows us to reflect that divine spark in our own unique way.
Part of my mission is also to inspire others to create. Sometimes that inspiration comes through my own work, and sometimes it comes through collaborating with others and helping them bring their ideas into reality. Even something like painting a mural for someone else can still be a meaningful act of shared creativity.
Ultimately, my goal is to follow the path God has placed before me and to share even a small fraction of His love through the work I create. I hope to encourage people to pursue their ideas with faith and courage, and to remind them that creativity is something we all carry within us.

Vision for Veil Rose
My vision is to create beautiful, high-vibrational, eco-friendly clothing that helps people feel confident, comfortable, and fully themselves. Every piece is designed with intention—combining artistic expression, sustainability, and spiritual meaning.
Right now, I work as a solo designer, creating each piece with care and purpose. In the future, I hope to expand into a larger, more seamless operation where sustainable materials and ethical production are at the heart of everything we do. My dream is to help create fashion that protects both the earth and the people who wear it by avoiding harmful chemicals and plastics, while still producing intricate, expressive designs.
At the center of my brand is a message of redemption. My logo represents a broken heart being healed through the Cross and the blood of Jesus. The fire surrounding it symbolizes the Holy Spirit—representing purification, renewal, and the transformation that happens when we surrender our flesh and allow God’s light to work through us.
As the brand grows, I hope to expand into a warehouse space and eventually open a storefront where people can experience the clothing, art, and mission in person. I am also developing a natural, clean beauty line and am considering studying herbal medicine or pursuing education that will help me create products that are both effective and truly non-toxic.
Ultimately, my vision is to build a brand that brings together beauty, sustainability, artistry, and faith—creating things that not only look beautiful but carry meaning, healing, and purpose.
